Jon Link PT, MPT, OCS, CSCS
Jon Link, PT, MPT, OCS, CSCS is the president of the Orthopedic and Sports Therapy Institute. He is also the clinical director of Ogle County Physical Therapy in Byron, Illinois. Prior to this he was the clinical director of McHenry County Physical Therapy from 2000 to 2003. He continues to treat patients at Ogle County Physical Therapy since its doors opened in 2003 while specializing in orthopedic, industrial, hand, and sports rehabilitation.
Jon graduated from Southwest Baptist University in Missouri with his Master of Physical Therapy degree in 2000. In 2003, he passed his certification examination to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). In 2004, he passed his examination to become a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). At the time, Jon was 1 of 3 Orthopedic Clinical Specialists in the greater Rockford area and remains the only OCS in Ogle County. He is also a certified clinician in Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization (ASTYM®) for treating tendonitis type conditions and fits individuals with custom orthotics for foot and ankle related disorders. In addition, Jon and the staff at Ogle County Physical Therapy offer Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE) and Pre-employment screenings through WorkSTEPS®.
Jon's focus remains on development of the clinics of the Orthopedic and Sports Therapy Institute in addition to expansion of the corporation. He enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 boys, serving at his church, and continuing to make a feeble attempt at playing soccer in a league with players much younger than him.
Angela Pfeiffer, PT, DPT
Dr. Angela Pfeiffer, PT, DPT joined the staff of Ogle County Physical Therapy in 2004. She received her terminal degree in physical therapy, a doctorate in physical therapy, from Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA. She graduated from Northern Illinois University, Dekalb, IL with honors with a Bachelors degree in Health Science with a minor in biology and a Masters of Physical Therapy.
Angela has a special interest in treating the patients of Northern Illinois because she is a native of the region. She is an expert in movement impaired dysfunction striving to treat the cause of the condition, not just the symptoms. She has vast knowledge and expertise in the areas of orthopedics and sports medicine. She has served as a clinical instructor and has presented at the IPTA Fall Conference. Angela has advanced training in biomechanics of the feet and custom orthotics. She has been trained in WorkSTEPS Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE) and is a certified ASTYM provider for tendonitis type conditions. She has a special interest in orthopedic women's health, sacroiliac (SI) dysfunction, vestibular rehabilitation, and sports medicine. She is dedicated to the enhancement of movement performance in the Ogle County region.
Bridget Johnson, PT
Bridget Johnson, PT joined Ogle County Physical Therapy in the fall of 2005 due to a growing need for physical therapy services in Northern Ogle County. She graduated in 1999 with her Bachelor of Physical Therapy from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. She graduated with high honors in her class and also obtained a minor in Gerontology. She has extensive experience treating a wide array of musculoskeletal disorders.
Her areas of expertise include orthopedic, industrial, geriatric, and sports rehabilitation. She is also a certified clinician in Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization (ASTYM®) for treating tendonitis type conditions and fits individuals with custom orthotics for foot and ankle related disorders. In addition, she is also a certified fitter for Juzo Compression stockings and a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). In 2007, Bridget passed her examination to become a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
Donnie Early, PT, MPT
Donnie Early, PT, MPT, is a native from White Hall, Illinois. He graduated with a Bachelor's of Health Science and a Masters in Physical Therapy from Maryville University. Donnie performed his clinicals in a wide variety of settings including: acute care, outpatient orthopedic, sports rehabilitation, aquatics, burns, and wound care.
Donnie moved to Dixon, Illinois in 2006, and worked at KSB. There he worked in corporate health and outpatient rehabilitation. Donnie has extensive experience in working with work hardening/ conditioning, pre-employment screening, Functional Capacity Evaluations, and office/ work ergonomics. In addition, he has experience in inpatient, home health, and nursing home care.
Donnie looks forward to continuing his physical therapy education, to continue to provide cutting edge care to the Ogle County community.
Kelly Rogers, PTA, LMT, BS
Kelly Rogers, PTA, LMT, BS is a native of Oregon, Illinois. She graduated from Blackhawk College in 2009, with a degree in physical therapy assisting. In addition to her physical therapy assisting degree, she has a Bachelors of Science degree in athletic training from Eureka College and a degree in massage therapy from Northern Prairie School of Therapeutic Massage.
Kelly performed her clinicals in both the outpatient rehabilitation and inpatient, skilled nursing settings. Prior to joining Ogle County Physical Therapy, she worked in outpatient orthopedics at KSB. She looks forward to continuing her physical therapy education, by attending various courses that will further enhance her knowledge in orthopedic and sports therapy.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, scrapbooking, and playing with her three dogs.
Kim Girton, ATC, BS
Kim Girton, ATC, BS joined the staff at Ogle County Physical Therapy in 2004. Kim attended college at Trinity International University and graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Medicine and Athletic Training. Kim has extensive experience in athletic training to her position at Ogle County Physical Therapy including work at the collegiate level. She is responsible for providing daily coverage to the athletes, evaluating and treating injured athletes, and also providing game coverage for Byron High School's extensive sporting event schedule.
She is also in charge of running the Ultimate Advantage Performance Enhancement Camp at Byron High School each summer. This camp is focused on improving the overall performance of an athlete in the areas of straight ahead speed, lateral speed, agility, vertical jump, and endurance. Kim also assists the staff at Ogle County Physical Therapy and is an active member of the National Athletic Training Association (NATA).
John Cain, ATC, BS, CSCS
John Cain, ATC, BS, CSCS joined the staff at Ogle County Physical Therapy in the fall of 2006. John is the full-time head athletic trainer at Oregon High School and has served in this position since 1990. He graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training in 1988 from Northern Illinois University and is currently working towards his Master of Science degree in athletic training from Illinois State University. John brings extensive experience to his position at Ogle County Physical Therapy including opportunities to work with the Montreal Expos and Olympic athletes in the past.
He recently completed training to administer pre-employment screenings through WorkSTEPS, due to the growing need for industrial rehabilitation in Ogle County. In the fall of 2006, he earned the distinction of a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is an active member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and also the National Athletic Training Association (NATA). John provides daily coverage to the athletes at Oregon High School and also provides game coverage for Oregon High School's extensive sporting event schedule.
