Kevin Camden, PT, OCS

Kevin D. Camden PT, OCS is the founder and the co-owner of the Orthopedic and Sports Therapy Institute. In October of 1998, Kevin recognized the need for quality health care services in the Boone County area and opened Belvidere Physical Therapy. Also, in May of 2000 he opened McHenry County Physical Therapy to fully serve both Boone and McHenry Counties. Kevin is a graduate of Saint Louis University of Physical Therapy, where he was voted the outstanding senior of allied health programs, and graduated with high honors.

His internships included Barnes Hospital Acute/Orthopedic Center, Jefferson Barracks Veterans Center Spinal Cord Injury Unit, and Deaconess Hospital Orthopedic Rehab Center. During this time, he participated in multiple independent studies in stroke rehabilitation and injuries of the spine. He has gained a variety of experience working as a physical therapist. He worked one year at Quad City Regional spine institute then took over at Davenport Medical Center as Director of Physical Therapy where he spent 4 years and opened their occupational therapy department. He also assisted with the accreditation, curriculum development, and teaching of the Physical Therapist Assistant program, at Blackhawk Community College.

He then served as director of rehab at Rochelle Community Hospital where he developed occupational health programs and has consulted for Commonwealth Edison, Eaton Corporation, Hines Lumber and Total Logistic Controls. Kevin's areas of expertise include orthopedic, industrial, and sports rehabilitation. In 2005, Kevin passed his examination to become a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). He is also a certified clinician in Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization (ASTYMŽ) for treating tendonitis type conditions and fits individuals with custom orthotics for foot and ankle related disorders. In addition, Kevin is a certified WorkSTEPS evaluator for Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE) and pre-employment screenings.

Jessica Wagner, PT, MSPT

Jessica Wagner, PT, MSPT received her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina, graduating Magna Cum Laude. While at Clemson, Jessica gained a lot of knowledge in sports rehab, both through her experience as a competitive college athlete and while working at a physical therapy clinic. After Clemson, she continued with her education, earning her Masters degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Indianapolis' Krannert School of Physical Therapy. Since graduating from physical therapy school, Jessica has attended several continuing education seminars in a variety of her interests including industrial rehab, manual therapy and outpatient orthopedics.

Jessica has developed special interests in many different realms of physical therapy practice while working over the past several years. She has gained extensive experience working with orthopedic and sports injuries of most major body parts, as well as work-related injuries. Her treatment philosophy utilizes an eclectic approach of manual soft tissue and joint mobilization combined with a functional, dynamic stabilization exercise prescription.

Jessica currently heads McHenry County Physical Therapy's Industrial Rehab program. Her interest in industrial rehabilitation has motivated her to become certified in performing WorkSTEPS and Isernhagen Functional Capacity Evaluations. She also has extensive experience with work conditioning and work hardening patient care, as well as pre and post offer employment testing.

Christy Diddens, ATC, MS

Christy Diddens, ATC, MS graduated from Clarke College (Dubuque, Iowa) in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Athletic Training and a minor in Biology. Upon graduation Christy moved to Pennsylvania where she received (2003) her Master of Science Degree in Athletic Training with an emphasis in education from California University of Pennsylvania (California, Pennsylvania).

Christy's thesis entitled "The Effects of Pilates and Stability Ball Training Programs on Functional Core Stability and Postural Control" has led her to an interest in core stabilization techniques. Christy is currently on her 2nd year as the athletic trainer at Johnsburg High School. She is a native of Lena, Illinois and currently resides in McHenry. Christy enjoys the outdoors, all sporting events, and traveling.
